I need a website? How do I start?
The first thing you will need is a
domain name - the unique address of your site and a
web space - the computer that serves your website to the internet. You can find some really good
web hosting offers over the internet and choose the one which meets your requirements best.
But if you don't have the time for that or think this task is too technical, don't worry, as
I can do this for you.
Next you need to decide what kind of information you would like to display on your website. This can be as brief as one page describing who you are, what you do, and how to contact you, or it can be as comprehensive as you wish. You can include as many pages as you like describing your products and services or offering information you feel is relative to the needs of your customers. After that you can create your own logo using graphics software, or just scatch your ideas on a sheet of paper and
let me do the rest.
You can also tell me about your vision for the design of the website (how to place the information, what colours to use, etc). But if you don't yet have any definite ideas, please let me come up with a suggestion and leave you to judge it.
My main idea for web design is first of all to create a valid XHTML / CSS code and keep the pages beautiful, accessible, informative and easy to navigate. My philosophy for successful business is to attract viewer's attention with stylish and eye-catching solutions and enable them to quickly find the information they want. I don't like to use heavy and fancy effects for your pages. In my experience, viewers will abandon sites which are slow to load and difficult to read, as a result you would lose potential customers.
